Kamut is a
form of wheat originated in Egypt. It is considered to be less
allergenic than common wheat. Use kamut flour to make light textured
pastas and baked goods.
Kamut is
more nutritious than regular wheat due to a higher protein and
potassium content. It also contains a unique type of gluten that is
said to be easier to digest than common wheat gluten.
Kamut
flour, which is yellow rather than light brown, can be used for
bread, muffins and other baked goods as well as for homemade pasta.
It has a rich "buttery" taste, high nutritional value and is also
easy to digest.
